Sidewalks come and go, so most residents choose looped routes that stick to quieter roads during off‑peak hours. Dogs do well here thanks to the shade and minimal through‑traffic. When you want proper trails, Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve is minutes away: leashed paths fan out across the preserve, and there’s a clearly signed off‑leash area where friendly dogs can socialize. For flat miles, head to the nearby Bay Trail segments. Expect deer, turkeys, and the occasional coyote at dusk — keep leashes short and carry a light.
